A new breath in Moulin-à-Vent

After a collective chapter, Julie Mommessin has been leading the family estate in Moulin-à-Vent since 2025, supported by a small, committed team. As Estate Manager, she embodies a new generation: precise, attentive to the living world, and free in her approach.

At Zéphyr, we do little, but we do it well: two cuvées, vines planted between 1930 and 2013. A patient approach, rooted in respect for the land, for time and for people. Every gesture matters; every decision is carefully considered, from the vineyard to bottling. The name Zéphyr comes from stories told by Julie’s mother during her childhood, where the wind often appeared as a discreet breath, carrying connection, memory and momentum.

Even today, this wind still passes through the estate’s vineyards. It dries the grape clusters, cools the soils and accompanies each vintage. It has become a symbol — a signature.

A family heritage rooted in Moulin-à-Vent

The estate’s story begins in 1966, when Élisabeth Mommessin, her husband Henri and her sister Renée purchased the property from the Cinquin family. In the 1970s, Henri Mommessin – a leading figure in Burgundy wine trading and owner of Clos de Tart in Morey-Saint-Denis – developed the estate under the name Champ de Cour.

His son Didier ensured continuity until 2018, respecting the family’s know-how. In 2018, Julie Mommessin and her sister Dorothée Derats took over, eager to open a new chapter.

That chapter truly took shape in 2025, when Julie assumed sole responsibility for the estate and let Zéphyr blow through Moulin-à-Vent.

Even today, this wind passes through the estate’s vineyards. It dries the grape clusters, cools the soils and accompanies each vintage. It has become a symbol – a signature.

A small team, great care

With six people, we do little, but we do it right. Each cuvée is born of a balance between high standards, attentiveness and trust.

Julie Mommessin, our Operations Manager, coordinates, tastes, chooses, questions and decides. She carries the project, but never alone.

Fabrice Rude, our estate manager and winegrower, is present in the vineyards all year round. He knows every parcel, every row, every vine. He oversees each stage in the cellar: from pruning to harvest, from pressing to ageing. A complete expertise, at the service of life.

Audry Champier, our assistant, provides logistical and administrative support – and much more besides. She is the balance of the cellar, the oil in the gears, and often the everyday smile.

Hélène Houchot, apprentice in viticulture and oenology, learns, observes and takes part in every stage with seriousness and enthusiasm. A precious presence, focused on the future.

Independent consultant Emmanuel Charpentier supports the estate throughout the winemaking process: guiding technical choices and ensuring analytical monitoring of the wines in his laboratory, guaranteeing precision and consistency in every vintage.

Camille Derats, Social Media Manager and Julie’s niece, grew up in the world of wine. Today, she brings her creativity to the estate’s digital communication, with a sensitivity passed down through generations.
